Notification 2.0 is an upgraded interface for Intelligence Notifications, offering a streamlined dashboard, consolidated notifications, quick-action buttons, flexible reminders, and enhanced sorting/filtering. It simplifies managing regulatory changes by grouping notifications, providing detailed content, and allowing users to organize, flag, archive, and set reminders, improving clarity and user control.
In this article, we'll walk through Notification 2.0, our new and improved interface for Intelligence Notifications. These notifications appear whenever there’s a change to your assessment knowledge results, and this updated UI is designed to make them not only easier to understand, but also easier to organize and act on. The original Notifications UI is still available, but Notification 2.0 is the experience we’ll be moving toward. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
Landing on the New UI
To access Notification 2.0, hover over the navigational bar on the left side of the screen. In the top left corner, click "Notification 2.0".
When you open Notification 2.0, you’ll see a clean, consolidated dashboard. Each notification is displayed in a single row, and you’ll immediately see:
- The date the notification was received
- The notification name
- The urgency level: Critical, Important, or Informational
- The status: Proposed, Adopted, or Effective
- The company and facility(s) it applies to
- And on the right side, the full notification content when you select each notification

Now you can browse notifications on the left while viewing details on the right, without losing your place.
Quick Action Buttons
One of the biggest improvements in Notifications 2.0 is the set of quick action buttons that appear when you hover over a notification. These give you more control and help you manage your inbox the way you want.

- Flag: You can flag a notification if it’s important or if you want to return to it later.
- Archive: If a notification doesn’t apply to you, you can archive it.
- Archived notifications move out of your inbox and into the Archive tab at the top.
- If you archived something by mistake, you can restore it back to the inbox with one click.
- Mark as Read or Unread: Just like email, you can mark a notification as read or unread. This is helpful if you want to keep track of what you’ve already reviewed.
- Set a Reminder: This is a brand new feature and one of the most powerful additions to Notifications 2.0. You can:
- Choose a specific date, or
- Use a quick reminder like “one week out” or “one month out”
- Once you set a reminder, the notification moves to the Reminders tab. When the reminder date arrives, the system regenerates the notification and places it back in your inbox.
- You can edit or remove reminders at any time.
Inbox, Archive, and Reminders Tabs
Across the top of the screen, you’ll see three tabs:
- Inbox: all active notifications
- Reminders: notifications scheduled to reappear later
- Archive: notifications you’ve archived

In the Reminders tab, you’ll notice that archive and restore options are removed, since reminders behave differently from standard notifications. Here, you can only edit or delete the reminder.
Sorting and Filtering
Notifications 2.0 includes flexible sorting and filtering tools to help you find exactly what you need.

Sorting Options
You can sort by:
- Date (oldest or newest)
- Urgency
- Status
- Company
- Facility
Filtering Options
You can filter by:
- Flagged notifications
- Unread notifications
- Read notifications
- Facility attributes
- Date range
You can select multiple options at once.
Consolidated Notifications
Another major improvement is how notifications are grouped.
In the old UI, you might receive 10–15 separate notifications for the same rule change — one for each facility.
Notifications 2.0 now consolidates all related facilities under a single company-level notification, and lists all effected facilities in the Facility column. This dramatically reduces noise and makes it easier to understand what’s changing.
Viewing Notification Content
When you click a notification, the full content appears on the right side. This includes:
- Detailed rule information
- Links you can click directly
- Effective dates
- Any associated facility attributes

You’ll also see the same action buttons — flag, archive, mark read/unread, and set reminder — in the upper-right corner, at the top of the content panel.
“Needs Action By” Date
On the right side, you’ll see a Needs Action By date. This is simply the effective date of the rule change, if applicable.
This date is set manually by the internal team when the notification is created. It tells you the last date by which you may need to take action.
If you want to work earlier than that date — for example, three months ahead — you can set your own reminder. This gives each client full control over their timeline.
Notifications 2.0 is designed to give you more clarity, more control, and a more intuitive experience. With consolidated notifications, flexible reminders, improved sorting and filtering, and a cleaner layout, it’s easier than ever to stay ahead of regulatory changes and take action on your own timeline.
